MP recognizes women’s military contributions
John Duncan, Member of Parliament for Vancouver Island North, honoured women’s invaluable contributions to Canada’s military throughout history.
“On the front lines and behind the scenes, women have been there for Canada, in times of conflict and of peace,” said Duncan. “During Women’s History Month, and always, Canadians can celebrate and be inspired by the courage and selflessness of women in all three branches of our military.”
“I encourage all Canadians to discover and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of women in the Canadian military forces, both today and throughout our history,” said the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women. “Canadian women have a long history of excellence in Canadian military forces.”
